Strategy Guide (1/2) of Star Wars: Empire at War

image

As we know that the Galactic map is large and complicated. On the map,  the green zone is for your allies’, the place colored red is  for your enemies’, and the yellow part is for the neutrals’ that consist primarily of Black Star pirates. Please read the key steps carefully and we believe that this strategy guide will help a lot to your gaming skills and make your survival the black depths of space.

Hardpoints are important. Do not try to across all the planets and attempt to cover every possible way or approach without a full preparation. Define your territory’s perimeter and put fleets of balanced units and numbers in system that are within speedy striking distance of any of as much of your perimeter as possible. The Leaving isolated forces are asking your opponents to send unit’s counter to take your system.

Have knowledge of your enemy. Imperial players should be aware that you will be seriously punished by a knife to a gun fight. What’s that mean?  It means you should do full preparation before starting a war. Then what should Imperial players do?

1.        Set and send probe droids to investigate the immediate zone before your attack.
2.        Make sure to send a last probe before committing the fleet to an action of your team.
3.        Let rebel players to use C-3PO and R2-D2 to investigate ahead.
4.        Try to have the Bothan homeworld  for the controlling trade route approach.  It also improves intel abilities.
5.        As a good landing force, clear skies is absolutely better than directly bumping into a Star Destroyer.

Do not auto-resolve the conflicts. To be more specific that a fight does not have much impact of the epic story.  Players will be given opportunities to auto-resolve instead of spending the time needed to fight your battle. Do remember that do not take this option. Although the manual warns you that this might result in higher losses than resolving the battle manually. Accordingly, what it actually means? It means that “your automated foe will ride the ruined shells of your fleet and the crushed bodies of your armies like grim toboggans”. So never ever do that.

There are still other four key steps for this strategy guide of Star Wars: Empire at War. We’ll reveal them in the guide (2/2) later. The Top 7 Interesting Stories in SWTOR

When it comes to SWTOR, more players like the interesting stories better than upgrades. There are many interesting stories provided for all SWTOR players to choose, among these stories Imperial stories are more popular than Republic stories. Here, Mmogah will rate the story lines as follows:

image

No.1 Sith Warrior Stories – Most players like it very much! Everything from the start on Korriban, to the epic climax, even the combat style itself makes you feel powerful and like a force of nature. As if you are Darth Vader marching through the world, nothing can stop you and everybody who tries will perish. Players absolutely loved it. It is also the Imperial class story that is the closest to the actual conflict Empire/Republic. Just as Vader, you are a one man army that steers the outcome of the war.

No.2 Imperial Agent Stories - The Warrior makes you feel epic. But from a pure story line point of view, Agent is actually better than the warrior story. The warrior story is very predictable, because it is pure Sith, but the agent story line has so many twists and surprises! What you do and who your character is in the bigger picture also changes in every chapter I think.

No.3 Jedi Knight Stories - Again, it is very predictable. You get what you expect. You are a hero of the Republic, sent to deal with the most difficult crises, having to use diplomacy, sometimes violence while always struggling to stay true to the code. They throw in some twists to make you stray to the dark side, showing the constant struggle a Jedi lives with. And the ending is very good, albeit questionable.

No.4 Sith Inquisitor Stories - You will expect very much from a Sith sorcerer/force user. Here the Warrior uses brute strength, the Inquisitor is all about the secrets and old rituals side of the Sith. It’s good, but it didn't make you feel as epic as the warrior. The ending is also very predictable.

No.5 Bounty Hunter Stories – You will be detached from the war efforts until the late game. The last chapter is actually the best I think. The reason that the BH is before the last two, is because you can play the story in so many different mind sets. You can be a pure mercenary scumbag with no loyalties but your paycheck or you can be a nice guy who has morals and tries to influence the outcome of the war for the better.

No.6 Jedi Consular & Trooper Stories - I think both stories are not bad. Trooper feels almost like Mass Effect. Assemble your team and then win the end battle. The Consular story line is actually kind of boring at times and it feels like a reverse Inquisitor story.

No.7 Smuggler Stories – It has fewer loyal players. While you enjoy the dialogues and the combat as a gunslinger, the story line itself is meh. You are a smuggler, and that is exactly what you do... like smuggling stuff. All the time. If you think of your classic Star Wars characters. Han Solo is just a funny guy who happens to be involved by pure accident. He even wants to leave after his job is done. And that is exactly how the smuggler in SWTOR feels. A funny guy, who has a joke for every situation, gets all the ladies and for whom saving his own neck always comes first. It’s funny at times.

All the top 7 interesting stories are just summarized by MmoGah from the elite SWTOR players. Hope to provide reference for players who hesitate to choose suitable stories and can really enjoy the game. Maybe some players want to level fast, I will say that the fastest way to level is to sub and play only class missions, be in a guild with 10% bonus and also XP boosts (when you sub, SWTOR Gold must be needed). If you want to know more about upgrades, please keep your eyes on our news.

The Brand New Level 60 Character in SWTOR

Preferred players are capped at 14 active slots instead of the 16 you have now, so you can lose 2 slots you paid for, which has happened on many players. Here, MmoGah will introduce the new Level 60 character in detail, then you will totally understand the situation.

Character limit – If you are at 22 character limit and you create a new L60 character, it will add a new slot for you up to a cap of 40-50 character per server. If you don’t want to make new L60 characters you can buy more character slots.

Starter Gear: New L60 characters will get legacy bound 188 blue gear that you can transfer to other characters if you like the appearance.

Mastery – All the main stat has been consolidated into Mastery. Crit is now all one stat (critical rating and surge are now one stat).

Tutorial Mode – Tutorial mode means you won’t have access to all the abilities and they will show up as you progress in Chapter 1. You can turn off this tutorial mode immediately. It is more meant for new players to avoid overwhelming them with all the abilities.

Discipline window – You get a new utility point and an additional utility in the heroic tier.

What you need to complete before KotFE: You don’t need to complete anything before Fallen Empire (i.e. no SOR, RoTHC class story etc). However, once you start KotFE you cannot go back and complete them again. This only applies to story missions, you can still do the side quests etc.

Crew skills on new L60: New characters get all the previous companions and crew skill auto L500. You will get appropriate crew skills for your class (i.e. bounty hunter get armormech, scavenging, and underworld trading)

Companions: You can still customize the appearance of your companions. Their stats are influenced by your level and your influence with that companion. You can change their role selection to damage, tank, heals etc out of combat. Companion gear you farmed from Yavin will be made legacy and can be used for players (except the weapons).

All in all, the changes of new Level 60 first gives the average preferred player a lot of available character space, especially up from 2 for a regular F2P character, which adds perceived value; second entices more hardcore or completionist players of the preferred-type to sub up so that they have access to additional character slots to "finish their collection" as it were, in order to create additional sales. Therefore, the new Level 60 characters are really worthwhile for SWTOR players to play, please hurry up to subscribe it with SWTOR Gold/Credits.
