In general, artifact points will be your main theme in Legion. Since you get your first artifact, you should try to get the points to strengthen your weapon all the time. The artifact points will present as item, you can add it to your current specs artifact.
In the first stage of LEG, the main way to get artifact points is doing quests.
You can get 100-200 points after finishing every main quest. There are 4 maps for leveling up, you should finish all quests in these maps to reach LV.110. By this way, you can totally get 1000-2000 points by doing quests, which is very precious. After you reach the level cap, the Suramar questline also has many points award including pre-quest and sub-quest. Every time you finish the fallen angel quest, another questline will be triggered, which gives you 100-200 points and LV.810-820 gears. The quest of class order hall can award you the most points. You can receive this kind of quest when leveling up. Different class differs in awards, but 300 points and thousands of order hall material is normal. This questline must be done by every player, at the same time your assist will help you. Some world quests can also award you artifact points. Specific number differs in the difficulty of quest, about 20-80+.
The second way to get points is by killing monsters.
Now the wild monsters in LEG will drop following artifact points item: +10, +25, +75, +250. The dropped chance becomes lower successively. +10 is very normal. +250 is rare, almost 1 item per week. In terms of dungeon, the first random 5H dungeon every day will give you 50 points. The wild chests in LEG has many points, at most 50+ points at some chance. Part of these chests refresh randomly, which don’t locate in fixed location as WOD. If you like this way to get points, you should raise your reputation to Respectful level. Knowledge level
The knowledge level is the only factor to influence the speed of getting artifact points. But in the early stage, this influence is very little. For example, even you reach LV.110 in the first day and you submit your first knowledge level order, you need 1 week to reach the LV.1 knowledge level. But you should manage your CD to submit order, this influences a lot in late stage. If you learn 2 skill tree, you should pay more attention to it, because this can speed up the process of getting your 2nd artifact.

Class order campaign: You should guarantee you have enough resource before starting class order campaign. If not, your quests can not go forward. The location will show on the screen map as . You can buy chest map from camp quartermaster. Rare event: You can join some rare events around the Broken Isles, which is marked as on the screen map. You need to kill rare monsters in most of the events, class order resource will drop at some chance. It is advised to do these battles because of the resource and other awards. Notes: you can’t beat those monsters by yourself, you need some help from other players. Awards events: You may be involved in some random event in your quest region. Those events will award you many resources. In most cases, you can do quests and at the same time finish awards events. World quests: You can get the most resources in world quests. After LV.110, you can see many quests on the Broken Isles map, which differs from collecting herbs to killing minions. Those quests are time-limited. The new one will show up after the last one disappeared. Emissary chest: You can receive the quests representing a camp or region once a day. After finishing world quests, you can go to emissary to deliver a chest, which contains lots of resources, but this chest may contain other things. Assistant: You can send you assistant to do quests at Broken Isles. You can get resource when your assistant use the given gears or you study the technology of class order.
How to use class order resource?
Artifact study: Artifact study note - 500 resources. Every note will add 1 artifact wisdom. Every point of wisdom will improve artifact points. Technology tree of class order: Every class order hall has its own special technology tree. The tree has 6 tiers, you should choose 1 from 2 in the first 5 tiers. It is advised to enhance your class order hall, such as improving your success rates of quests. Improve class suit: Every class has 8 sets of suit. You should finish different quests of legion to collect them, such as killing dungeon boss or getting reputation points. These suits can be improved from 810 to 840 by using class order resource. Quests of class order hall: You need to use resource to begin a quest like WOD version. Warrior gears: Except druid, monk and shaman, other classes can unlock a special order of technology tree. This order need 50 resource and 12 hours to be finished, which will give you 3 types of gears: +5, +10, +15.

John Hight: From WOD expansion, we have tried to bring characters that players like back to the game, but the present characters and stories are more important. For example, players will meet Gul’dan frequently in Legion. We will shape these characters better, making them vivider. We are also making WOW caricature now, there will be another three in summer, which is a good supplement of WOW’s story.
J: As a well-known IP, what other plans for WOW in the future? John Hight: First, we are very happy that WOW movie is welcomed in China. I like this movie very much and watched it three times. In general, we are careful to WOW IP, quality is more important. Now, we don’t have a plan for a sequel, but WOW games are underway, like the Hearthstone. J: How many patches will release in Legion? Legion pre-expansion is now updated, here are some tips for Paladin to level up.
Mechanism changes in leveling up An “elastic mechanism” is added to level-up maps. Monsters, quests and rewards will correspond to players’ level. There will be no rules like “LV.100-102, go to map A; LV.102-104, go to map B” as the previous WOD version. Players can choose their preferred maps to level up. In WOD, if monsters are attacked by other players, its names will change to grey and you will get no rewards no matter you get involved in or not. Now, that situation will not happen as long as the player has the same camp as yours. (Before, this mechanism only applies to some special monsters. Now, it is available for most situations.) The two camps can also share the kill of monster in special quests. You no longer need to wait some “click-type” quest objective refreshing. Specs According to my experience in Legion BETA, I think Protection Spec of paladin is more efficient. It has strong AOE damage output and survive ability compared with Retribution Spec. Though Holy Spec’s damage ability increase a lot, Protection Spec is the best.
Talents Tier 1: Blessed Hammer & Consecrated Hammer, choose 1 from 2. Tier 2: Crusader’s Judgement. It can refresh CD of Avenger’s Shield, which has the highest damage(Only next to Shield Bash) and is very helpful for AOE damage output. Tier 3: You can choose Fist of Justice to enhance solo-control ability; or choose Blinding Light to help CC out of battle.(AOE with 1.5 mins of CD) Tier 4: All are team-support skills which is not very helpful for leveling up. Maybe Blessing of Salvation can be used to block magic damage. Tier 5: Knight Templar. Enhances map-walking ability and reduce enemy’s damage. Tier 6: Consecrated Ground. Enhances Consecration and has a powerful passive. Tier 7: Seraphim or Last Defender. Supply Prepare Food, Healing Tonic and Flask to improve level-up efficiency.
Level up process After the campaign in Shattered Shore, you will receive a quest to Dalaran. Then, Deadwind Pass(Karazhan)-Broken Isles-Relic quest. It is suggested you should choose protection relic even if you don’t want to play Protection Paladin and you can receive the second quest of relic when you are LV.102. Level-up begins after relic quest and subsequent class order hall quest. Recommend maps: Val’sharah, Azsuna. The other 2 maps has a complex geological condition. Protection Paladin has a high damage output and good survive ability. Notes: 1. Use Judgement and Taunt flexibly to attract monsters. 2. Use Consecration first and cast Blessing Hammer when monsters gather. 3. Avenging Wrath(Wings) now has 35%+ damage and cure. Main quests and the last dungeon quest must be finished.
