To get started, you are going to talk to Goomah in the fishing guild and select “Travel”.
Magnetic Minnows (level 68)
Magnetic Minnows can be turned into Manta Ray, Sea turtle or Great White Shark bait. The fish can be eaten without cooking to heal 100 life points each. They are stackable, so you don’t have to worry about banking too often. When you click it, you have the option of making 3 types of bait. The XP per hour you’ll get on this spot is 60-100K.
Sea Turtles/Great White Sharks/Manta Rays (levels 79-81)
They are fished in the exact same manner once you have 300 Minnows, or you can buy the bait from the GE with your RS Gold. You make Minnows into the bait that you need, and then put the bait into the fishing spot. Once you activate the fishing spot, you will see all of the fish in the 4 corners around you. You will be able to fish at least 50 fish from the fishing spot, and the XP you’ll get is about 100K/H, but you can only do this when you have bait.
Green/Blue Blubber Jellyfish (level 68, 91)
When you get here, you’ll see some of the Jellyfish are electrified, and you are going to prioritize catching the electrified ones because they give you a higher catch rate. But fishing at an electrified spot causes a debuff stack to accumulate with each catch. When it gets to 10 stacks, continuing to fish at an electrified spot will cause you to be stunned for about 10 seconds upon a successful catch. Today we are going to talk about RuneScape’s new group-boss – Solak. In the latest live stream, Mod Ramen revealed that Solak has been redesigned and Merethiel's Wisp companion is probably be added as a pet. Today MmoGah shares with you more details about the upcoming RS3 boss.
One thing that the RuneScape team showed off in the live stream is a new NPC called Merethiel who is going to aid you in the fight with Solak. This is unique because NPC fighting with you has only ever happened during quests, so it will be interesting to see how she is going to play into the fight and how she is going to help you out.
The RuneScape team are currently working on the 7-man mode, and the duo-mode will follow soon after. But they said that if something is cut from release because of time constraints it'd be duo-mode. It doesn’t mean that the due-mode is not coming into the game, it’s just that if they can’t get it ready by the launch day, then the duo-mode will have to come out at a later date. No.5 - Farming
Farming is often a neglected skill as it’s a daily skill, but a lot of people hate dailies. So Double XP weekend is a great time to train it. You can pre-grow your trees in preparation for the weekend, then you can do your first farm run as soon as the DXP begins, and this will allow you to do it multiple times over the weekend. Plant and grow all your trees and you can also include other trees and prepare them for more XP, so not just your normal trees and fruit trees, you can also do Elders, Crystal, and Calquat etc.
Doing 7 Magic Tree runs can be pretty easy to do and give you 1.2M XP; 4 Palm Tree runes can be easy to do and give 600K XP. So just these 2 trees and doing these tree runs as often as you can and being consistent with it can earn you 1.8M XP, this means over the weekend, you can get over 2M XP if you include other trees as well.
No.4 - Crafting
This is a click-intensive and very expensive skill with no huge benefit, it’s also a skill that if you have the funds for, you’ll want to get out of the way in DXP weekend. Training this skill costs you a lot of RS Gold to buy the supplies, so doing this in DXP will not only save you time but also save you tons of RSGP as well.
Black dragonhide shields are 800K-1M XP/H in DXP; Air battlestaff’s are 600K-700K XP/H in DXP, and the cost of these will be half. You’d better stock up on materials in advance because they will be insanely expensive during or just before DXP. So buying some RS3 Gold and stock up on them now would be perfect for getting ready for DXP weekend, because it’s better to stock up sooner rather than later. Don’t forget to use Portables and Dungeoneering scrolls while training.
No.3 - Construction
This is very similar to Crafting. It may be possibly the most click intensive skill in this game currently, and another con to the skill is that it’s insanely expensive as well. However, it is very fast, this means it’s another perfect one for DXP.
At level 73, you can craft Mahogany Prawnbrokers, they are 1.2M-1.6M/H over DXP weekend, which means on a standard day, it would cost you 197M and take 16 hours to get from 73-99, however, in DXP, it’s half. So you can save 8 hours of click intensive training and 95M RSGP.
Planks are one of the items that really rises in price before DXP, stocking up is typically a must. Make sure to use a Butler for your fast Banking to maximize your XP per hour and how many things you can do every hour. It’s important to note that none of these playthroughs are going to affect any of your canon adventures, meaning you can experiment as much as you like. However, the RuneScape team are also providing the option of a second blast at your canon story for those who want it, but be mindful that you can only do this once, and these changes will be permanent. If you are looking to kill Hati, he will be found in the woods south-east of Rellekka. He drops Hati paws, which grant bonus combat experience, as well as a cosmetic cloak and hood.
Sköll:
If you want to go fight with Skoll, it can be found by adding 120 logs to the bonfire west of the Rellekka entrance. He drops Sköll boots, which grant bonus experience in Agility or Woodcutting, and a cosmetic amulet.
Jagex has offically announced the February DXP! It will take place from 23rd to 26th of February. Today MmoGah wants to give you a few tips to remember for the Double XP Weekend.
The Double XP Weedend starts on Friday 23 February at 12 o’clock server time and will last 72 hours as always. Below are some helpful reminders:
1. Utilize your proteans and your dummies etc. Make sure you save them up, they are all very useful for DXP.

3. You’d better start stocking up on supplies early, or you will have to pay inflated prices for supplies on a couple of days before Double XP. You can get the Yak hides or Broad arrowheads etc. in the shop. Doing Shop runs every single day until the double XP weekend can give you a very nice supply to do Summonning, or a really nice supply to do Fleching. Whether you are new to the game or if you just creat a F2P account, it’s so possible to make money on a fairly new account that has a very low stats. Today MmoGah will share with you some low requirement methods to make money as well as train skills AFK as a Free to Play player.
To start off, we are going to Craft Gold Amulet, which only requires 8 Crafting, and you also need Amulet Mould along with as many gold bars as you can afford. Run energy is precious in F2P, so you’ve got to be smart with it. In this method, you will get around 25K GP per hour, and 30K crafting XP per hour, which is a pretty good for F2P player. The profit per bar is about 25 GP each, which means each inventory’s profit is about 600 GP.

The next stuff is Sapphire Rings. The requirement for this is 20 crafting and you are going to need a ring mould. The best furnace is in Al Kharid, you go to the bank there withdraw your ring mould, 13 Gold bars and 13 Sapphires. And again you are going to walk on your way to the furnace and run on your way back to the bank. This method is less AFK than making gold amulet, but you can expect to make 2-3 times profit and 50-75K GP per hour depending on the current Grand Exchange prices, you can expect to make about 1-1.5K profit per inventory, although the XP is slightly lower, it comes around 25K XP per hour, but it’s still a really good Crafting XP as a F2P player. The first thing they show off is your bank presets: You can keybind all 10 of the available presets right there on the goal, and not have to shuffle between just two at any given time.

Next is the access Diango's interface straight from the Bank. There will be a little button on the bank, click it and now opens up Diango’s list of the items he has stored for you, and you can then withdraw items straight from there into your backpack.

There will be another icon, you just click on it, it then opens up the player Owned house costume room interface. Mod Osborne mentioned on the news post for this week’s update that many of the Jagex staff have gone off for their Holiday, so they are not in the office, which means this is the last update for this year, so we are not going to be getting any update until the 8th of January.
But don’t worry, there’s plenty coming out in the new year, and Jagex are showcasing some of it in the year ahead video which is on the 5th of January. They are going to be covering like RuneScape Mobile, Mining and Smithing, Bank Rework and a few surprises.
There are a couple of things you can still partake in for the rest of the year. Winter Weekends are events that you can do even in January. There's also Mod PurPur's Advent-ure Calendar, and the community run 12 days of PvM is still ongoing, so if you want to enjoy the community and kill the bosses, don’t forget to do that. And there is a Winter Sweepstakes going on that you can win a Razer Blade Pro laptop.

For RuneScape fans, this October will be a time to
survive, protect, celebrate and donate. MmoGah shares with you the details of the
content of this month.
DIMENSION OF THE DAMNED
The first update to talk
about this month is a brand new, completely free game mode called Dimension of
the Damned. Combat, crafting and cooperation are the focus in this exciting,
time limited, two-week zombie fest, where you control a fully maxed version of
your normal account.
Starting from October 16,
the gameplay is focussed around Falador and a free-to-play environment,
surrounded by legions of the damned.
Protect your group by
constructing barricades, or use them to upset the competition in the area. Each
player can earn points by killing the wide variety of zombie types - including
10-man boss encounters - which can be spent in Falador on loot boxes. Unique
equipment, power-ups and useful materials can be found, helping you rack up
more points and hopefully earn yourself an invitation to the unique endgame.
This grand finale will take
place on the 28th of October. Each invited player starts game with zero points,
but this time, death is permanent. Over the course of two hours, the world
slowly shrinks in size with more and more monsters spawning until finally, only
one player remains. Unique prizes and glorious recognition await!
The update is totally free and
all accounts start at max level, so it's a great time to buddy up with new
friends and old.
MORE FREE-TO-PLAY CONTENT
In fact, free players have
it really good this month, with a big batch of previously members-only content
becoming available to all.
This is the biggest bundle
of newly free-to-play content to date, including seven quests, the Fletching
skill, two D&Ds, the Warriors' Guild, craftable off-hands, crossbows, more
places to explore and more magical and ranged armour.
There really has never been
a better time to pop in-game and give RuneScape a go, so if you've got any friends
sitting on the fence, be sure to bring them in.
THIS YEAR'S HALLOWEEN EVENT
This year’s Hallowe'en
update sticks strongly with supernatural spookery and focusses on storytelling.
You'll uncover sad tales from tormented ghosts around the world and help solve
some putrid puzzles to help put them to rest. Half of the stories from the
miniquest have been taken directly from fantastic player submissions. Available
- in part - to both free and members, rewards include a new Hallowe'en emote,
title and a great cosmetic outfit allowing you to become a headless rider!
