How to Use Stardust to Power UP in Pokemon Go

Stardust is used to evolve and power up your Pokemon - your central means of making them as strong as possible. It's a resource that becomes increasingly scarce as you reach the mid and late game, as it becomes more and more important to Power Up and evolve whenever possible. Likewise, it's integral to calculating your Pokemon's maximum CP, IVs, and overall potential strength which - if you really want to get the most out of Pokemon Go - is a crucial mechanic.
You can not buy stardust, you must collect it by catching pokemon. Similar to candy, stardust is connected to monsters. Unlike candy, it doesn’t matter where the stardust came from.

There are a few methods you can use to earn Stardust:
Catching Pokemon
There are several ways to get more Stardust in Pokemon Go, but the quickest and easiest way to do so is through catching Pokemon. Each catch provides you with 100 Stardust - alongside the standard 3 Pokemon Candy, too - and with the relative ease you can catch Pokemon in city centers and any populated area, getting out there and catching is by far your best option.
Aim for low-level areas to catch the weaker, more common Pokemon - they're the easiest to get a hold of, and the quickest, and so grinding through a field of Pidgeys, Zubats and Rattatas is your safest bet. You'll also want to think about ways to find Pokemon faster, such as dropping lures and incense, so that you can get the very most out of a quick grind session.
If you think about the numbers, it's possible to catch around one Pokemon a minute when really trying - at 100 Stardust per Pokemon, that's 3,000 Stardust in half an hour's catching, which isn't bad.

Hatching an Egg
The next best alternative for getting more Stardust is through hatching Pokemon Eggs. You'll get a range of Stardust rewards for Egg-hatching, depending on the type of Egg you crack open. 10km Eggs reward the most, dishing out around 2,000 Stardust when they hatch. You'll get less for the 2km and 5km Eggs, however. If you're looking for more tips on that, then check out our guide to hatching 2km, 5km and 10km Eggs and using incubators.
Hatching Eggs is without doubt the best way to get large chunks of Stardust in one go, but it's simply a case of time invested that makes it less of a priority when compared to catching Pokemon. Whilst 2000 Stardust is a lovely reward, it's unlikely you'll be able to get out there and trek 10 kilometers in half an hour. Although if you can, then congrats - I envy your endurance.

Pokemon Go Update: 11 More Countries Unlocked Pokemon Go

11 New Countries
Pokemon GO has been making headlines again, this time it has been announced that the app will now be available in 11 new countries and regions around the world. Direct from the source 'Nintendo Insider', which stated that Pokemon GO developer Niantic would continue to expand their growth of the app via the addition of new locations.

image

Countries and regions now with access to the Pokemon GO includes: Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Macau, Macedonia, Mongolia, Serbia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan. Users from these areas will now be able to put on their trainer's cap and join in with the rest of the world by exploring their towns and cities capturing Pokemon. The app like in all other areas will be available on Google Play and iTunes.

Launches Smoothly Worldwide
Although many players who have already played and possibly burned out on Pokemon GO may not initially care about this latest expansion, it’s a positive thing for all players of the game. Niantic CEO John Hanke previously stated that Niantic’s main goal is ensuring that Pokemon GO launches smoothly worldwide before focusing on bringing new features to the game. Bringing the game to 11 more countries gets Niantic closer to that goal, and with any luck, it means Pokemon GO is one step closer to getting some new features that will breathe life back into the game. New features may be exactly what the game needs to help reverse the massive loss of players it’s experienced.

Rolling out an augmented reality game to the entire world is a difficult task, especially when the game has seen over 500 million downloads since its release. Niantic hasn’t released any kind of time table or estimate of when it expects to be finished with this task, but hopefully gamers who haven’t had an opportunity to play yet in their home countries will get their chance soon. Pokemon GO is now available on Android and iOS devices in select areas.

Pokémon GO Update: Increased spawn rates, new nests observed

It's not a secret that in "Pokemon GO" Niantic has certain locations and certain areas that has a higher spawn rate than others. Even to the point that it has a high spawn rate of one specific kind of Pokemon.

image

'Pokemon GO' Nest Migration
Pokémon Go has been updated, but not in the form of a downloadable patch. Pokemon nests have changed and spawn rates have increased to provide an improved experience in some areas. With regard to nests, what we essentially see is a massive migration of about 50 Pokemon to different spawn points. The full list is pretty massive. None of the changes are too lopsided in terms of rarity, and they don’t really involve any truly shiny monsters. That being said, this shift should be especially appreciated by more regimented players that are tired of coming across the same stuff while in transit to work or school. Some standouts include Nidoran male, Jynx and Electabuzz spawns being replaced by Onyx. Electabuzz can also be found where Clefairy, Nidoran female, Omanyte and Ryhorn used to roam.
Because nesting updates generally correlate to geography, not all of the referenced swaps will be accurate. At best, this should be reminder for all Pokemon Go fanatics to check the app if they want to see which new creatures may be lurking in the tall grass. Let's take a look of what could be the possible changes.

Pokémon GO Guide: How to Earn XP

As fun as Pokemon GO can be, it can become a grind as players begin to gain levels slower. Much like in most other MMOs, XP is awarded to Pokemon Go players for completing different tasks and achieving various goals in the game. In order for a Trainer to increase his or her level, a required amount of XP must first be gained.
There are many different ways to gain XP in Pokemon Go. The main ways to earn XP and Level Up include Capturing Pokemon, winning Battles at Gyms, Visiting Pokestops, Hatching Eggs, and Evolving Pokemon.
If you are completely new to the game sure to check out the Pokemon Go Beginner's Guide at first.

What is XP?
An Experience Point (often abbreviated as EXP or XP) is a unit which measures a Trainer's progression in Pokemon Go. Experience Points are gained by completing actions and achieving certain goals. When enough XP is gained by a player, he/she will Level Up, advancing to the next level of progression.
Why should you gain XP?
Gaining XP is necessary for increasing your Trainer Level. Players with a higher Trainer Level will be able to capture more powerful Pokemon. Most players seek to gain XP as quickly as possible, with the main goal of leveling up fast.
Where can you Gain XP?
There are a variety of ways to earn Experience Points in Pokemon Go. Some of the best ways to earn XP include Capturing Pokemon, Winning Battles at Gyms, Visiting Pokestops, Hatching Eggs and Evolving Pokemon.
Note: You will also gain bonus XP for certain achievements such as Capturing a New Pokemon.
XP Bonuses
In addition to the main methods listed above, there are also a variety of ways to earn extra XP. Bonus XP is awarded for:
New Captures - Awarded whenever a Pokemon is acquired by a trainer for the first time. This bonus is awarded one time per species. Being that you start out without any Pokemon, in the early stages of the game you will get this bonus very often.
Timing of Throws (Eg. Nice Throw, Excellent Throw) - Capturing Pokemon when the ring around the Pokemon is at its smallest point.
Special Throw (Eg. Curveball) - Awarded for spinning the Pokeball across the screen and capturing a Pokemon. This is different than the standard straight throw.

Pokemon Go Guide: How to Catch Rare Pokemon in Pokemon Go

As you play Pokemon Go, you'll be preoccupied with three goals; leveling your Trainer as high as you can, evolving and powering up your creatures to attack and defend Gyms, and filling out your Pokedex with new, rare Pokemon. You'll find that all three are connected, as the higher your trainer level, the higher your chances of finding rare Pokemon become, and in many cases, rarer Pokemon tend to be the best in Pokemon Go.
Bulbasaur, Squirtle, Charmander, Dragonite and even Pikachu are examples of rare Pokemon in Pokemon Go. Players of these game from around the world are desperately searching for these rare Pokemon in their neighborhood. Here are some of the game's tips and tricks on finding and catching these Pokemon.

image

Pikachu tops the list of most wanted rare Pokemon. This cute tiny mouse Pokemon has been loved by everyone ever since its debut, and players want to add it to their Pokedex. For first timers, you can acquire Pikachu easily as your starting Pokemon. This famous trick has been used by several players nowadays. Simply by moving away from the three starter Pokemon during selection, a wild Pikachu will appear after 2-5 re-spawns.
For those who just recently started the game, you can start from the beginning by clearing all the data on the Application Manager. This will allow you to use the 'Pikachu trick'. According to the reports from The Bitbag, Pikachu could be possibly found near parks or railway tracks. However, there is no guarantee that you will find Pikachu on these cited places. The 'Pikachu trick' is still your best option.

image

Dragonite is next on the list. Why? Originally reported from Mobile & Apps, the site said that Dragonite is the strongest Pokemon in the game right now, apart from being considered as a Legendary Pokemon in the original series. If you want a stronger Pokemon in your line up, then no doubt Dragonite gets that spot. There are a number of ways on how to catch this Dragon type Pokemon. Maybe by catching it instantly or find a Dratini and evolve it to Dragonite later or even have one by hatching your lucky eggs but it is just sheer luck.
Dragonite can be mostly found on the streets or forest but it is likely a rare catch. You can perhaps increase your chances by installing lure modules near PokeStops. But the best chance for you to acquire a Dragonite is to catch a Dratini because it is an easier catch. Dratini can be found on areas near bodies of water like rivers and lakes. It will require 125 Dratini candies for the Dragonite evolution, 25 for Dragonair and 100 for Dragonite.
Exeggutor is also a challenging Pokemon to defeat for many players. However, Exeggutor has a double weakness to Bug Type Moves. Bug Bite is better than Fury Cutter, but either will be effective against Exeggutor. For Charge Moves, Megahorn, Bug Buzz and X-Scissor are very effective against Exeggutor.
Pinsir and Scyther are both good against Exeggutor. Although underpowered CP wise, Butterfree is also a great counter to Exeggutor because of its Movesets. Venomoth and Parasect are good choices as well, but you just have to be careful when using Venomoth as it is vulnerable to Exeggutor's Psychic Type Moves.

The Complete Beginners Guide of Pokemon Go

Pokemon GO continues to dominate smartphones across the world, as gamers catch, train and battle the little creatures. But for those haven’t experienced the augmented reality (AR) game, it can be extremely confusing. What is a Pokemon? Where are they? How do I catch one? Well, if you've yet to download the app (or have just done so and don't know what to do) we've put together an ultimate beginner's guide to understanding the game. Like any role-playing game (RPG) the more time you put into it the better your character (and your Pokemon) will become.

image

First of all, get Pikachu as you starting the game.

1. ABOUT POKEMON GO
Pokemon Go is an Augmented Reality MMO game, which allows players to Capture, Trade (Trading TBD) and Battle virtual creatures (Pokemon) in the real world. Pokemon Go can be played on Mobile Devices and requires both GPS and an Internet connection to play.
There's more than one way to play Pokemon GO. You can either focus on catching all 150 different types of Pokemon and completing your Pokedex (basically an in-game encyclopedia).
Alternatively, you can focus on becoming as powerful as you can - which means levelling up your character and the Pokemon you catch. It also means you'll need to take part in Pokemon gym fights.

2. REQUIREMENTS & DOWNLOAD
Before you download Pokemon Go, be sure to check if your device meets the necessary specifications and requirements.
2.1 Requirements
Pokemon Go requires an Android or IOS Device with GPS and Internet access (WiFi or Mobile Data) to play. Android devices must have version 4.3 or higher and IOS users must have an iPhone 5 or better. Not sure if you meet the requirements? Learn which OS your phone is currently running.
2.2 Downloading the Game
The game can be downloaded in either the Google Play App Store (Android users) or the iTunes App Store (IOS users). Depending on your device, simply head over to either Virtual Store or search Apps for “Pokemon Go”. Click on “Install” and you should be good to go.
Be sure to have at least 200MB of free storage space to download the App. The initial download is around 50MB, but there’ll need more space for new updates to download as well.
If the storage space on your device is insufficient you will be prompted with a message upon the attempted download. Simply delete unused files (Apps, Pictures, Videos, etc.) or clear your Cache to free up the necessary space.
