They Should Get A Stat Boost for NBA 2K18 Part 3

This is the last part of our stat re-evaluation topic for NBA 2K18.

3. Kevin Durant - Golden State Warriors

Kevin Durant was already rated highly at 93 in NBA 2K17, and that's the only thing stopping him from sitting atop this list. When he signed for the Golden State Warriors at the beginning of the season, many assumed that his seemingly inevitable championship win would be tarnished. In fact, Durant played as a key player in the Warriors set-up, especially when his team romped to victory over the Cleveland Cavaliers. By his performance in the finals, Durant proved himself an instrumental part of the Warriors rather than riding the coattails of his stacked squad. His points per game average took a small hit, but his field goal percentage increased, so did his rebounding. A dramatic increase of his rating in NBA 2K18 is not quite necessary, but his number should reflect his transformation from incredible talent to true champion.

2. Russell Westbrook - Oklahoma City Thunder

Russell Westbrook also sat on a 93 rating in 2K17. Thunder fans may have despaired at the departure of Durant, but neutrals quivered with excitement at the destruction Westbrook could unleash upon the league - especially with a greater share of the basketball. However, nobody could have predicted the extent of his dominance, he averaged a triple-double throughout the season, a feat ever equalled by Oscar Robinson in the early '60s. Though the Thunder were eliminated at the first hurdle of the playoffs, Westbrook proved himself above all others in terms of individual excellence. His MVP reward was fully deserved, and his stats should surely increase for NBA 2K18. Click for more: https://www.mmogah.com/news/nba-2k18/they-should-get-a-stat-boost-for-nba-2k18-part-3

They Should Get A Stat Boost for NBA 2K18 Part 2

We have talked about players who should get a stat boost in NBA 2K18 previously in part 1, today let’s go on with the topic.

6. Rudy Gobert - Utah Jazz

There is no doubt that Gobert was really a defensive phenomenon this season. His performances helped the Utah Jazz not only secure a playoff berth, but win their first postseason series since 2010, defeating the Los Angeles Clippers in seven thrilling games.

Although he’s not the highest scorer, Gobert upped his average points per game to 14, while also pulling down nearly 13 rebounds each time he steps onto the floor. He was rewarded with a place on the All-Defensive First Team for his improvement, as well as a spot on the All-NBA Second team generally. We are probably to see a stat boost to match his improvement in a virtual world. Click for more: https://www.mmogah.com/news/nba-2k18/they-should-get-a-stat-boost-for-nba-2k18-part-2

They Should Get A Stat Boost for NBA 2K18 Part 1

Players get a stat boost in NBA 2K according to their performances during last season. 2016-2017 season was one of extremes - exquisite performances by Westbrook, Harden, LeBron and Durant overshadowing all the rest. But there are also many other players who impressed us much and deserve a stat boost in the upcoming NBA 2K18. Who emerged stronger from this season? Let’s re-evaluate now. I hope these players not only give you an edge over your opponents in 2K18, but also fit your personal style of play.

10. Jimmy Butler - Minnesota Timberwolves

It remains to be seen whether Jimmy Butler’s move to Minnesota will bring a significant progress to the Wolves. But things won’t be sweet to the Bulls for losing Butler. For the Bulls, it was a mixed season, they almost failed to make the playoffs before racing into a 2-0 lead against the Boston Celtics. After losing 4 straight games in the process, they were subsequently eliminated, but if it were not for Butler, they wouldn't have even reached that stage.
Butler didn't have the most spectacular of seasons, but still proved himself a star player. He had a career year in terms of average points, rebounds, assists and steals, and was voted into the All-NBA Third Team. Although not as spectacular as the Most Improved award he got in 2014/15, he's still had an impressive year, and will be greatly missed in Chicago.
