We've seen many screenshots and videos of some incredibly creative homes since Homestead launched last month. And now, we're giving you an opportunity to show off your interior design skills for a chance to win an ESO prize package, not to mention bragging rights! Starting today, you can enter the ESO Home Decoration contest.
During the contest period, which runs from now until Friday, March 31st at 11:59pm EST, you can enter by submitting a screenshot of your home that embraces one of the following categories:
  •Fight Club:
   Build your own private arena for dueling against your friends. Or enemies.
  •Hoarders of Tamriel:
   We won't judge you for your excessive love of round, edible objects.
  •House Party:
   You're the life of the party, and your home is where all your friends want to hang out!
  •Fantastical Constructs:
   We dare you to create something creative using furnishing items. Let your imagination run wild!

Homestead Guide in the Elder Scrolls Online: Furnishing Crafting & Master Writs

If you own a home in Tamriel as an ESO player, you'll need to furnish your newfound space with furniture. One way to get the furniture you so desire is to craft it yourself! Read on to learn the basics of Furnishing Crafting, a new system available in our latest update, Homestead.

What is Furnishing Crafting?
Furnishing Crafting allows you to craft furniture to place in your home, or to sell to other players for a profit. Furnishing Crafting is an extension of the six primary tradeskills: Blacksmithing, Clothier, Woodworking, Enchanting, Alchemy, and Provisioning.
Who can participate in Furnishing Crafting?
Anyone! You don't actually need to own a home to craft furnishings and some furnishings can be made with the most fundamental skills so it's easy to get started.
Where do I go to craft some furnishings?
You can craft furnishings at any crafting station. When used, you'll find a new tab for Furnishing plans related to that station's tradeskill.
Where do I get Furnishing Crafting plans?
Much as with conventional food recipes, furnishing plans can be found stashed in buildings, backpacks, or within pockets of NPCs throughout the world. Occasionally, you can even find some in ruins or dungeons. If you're stealing furnishing plans, though, try not to get caught!

Whether your ideal abode is a cozy cottage in The Rift or a grand estate in Reapers March, with 39 unique homes to choose from, there's a perfect place in Tamriel for everyone. And with the robust Housing Editor tools and over 2,000 individual home furnishings and decorations, the ways you can personalize your home are nearly limitless. If you want to own one of every home, you can! All dwellings are account-bound, so all your characters can enjoy the comforts and conveniences of home.

The ESO's Homestead Launch Dates

Move-in day is coming! We're excited to announce that Homestead, our next update featuring player housing, will launch on PC/Mac on Monday, February 6, and for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on Tuesday, February 21.
This free update introduces 39 uniquely-themed homes you can acquire throughout Tamriel, and includes over 2,000 individual decorative and furniture options plus Furnishing Crafting. In addition, the update also includes Master Crafting Writs, four new Motifs, an update to PvP itemization, and an overall balance pass across all classes and skills.
Housing is an often-requested feature in just about every MMORPG that launces without it. The Elder Scrolls Online is no different. Since the game launched, housing has been one of Zenimax’s most-requested additions.
Homestead, included free with ESO's next major game update, introduces the long-anticipated player housing system. It also includes furniture crafting and robust home decoration options. With nearly 40 unique homes to choose from and over 2,000 individual decorative and furniture options to make each home truly unique, Homestead will allow you to make Tamriel your own like never before.
