Spring
is in the air and a newESO Crown Crate season has begun. It's
time to embrace nature with the fresh spoils of The Elder Scrolls Online's Wild Hunt!
In
the Beginning Times, Y'ffre's Naming gave all the creatures of Nirn their
shapes. When the Wood Elves invoke the Wild
Hunt, creatures forget their Y'ffre-taught shapes and shift into unnatural
forms. It's a dangerous power, because once unleashed, it's almost impossible
to control, and the effects may spread beyond what was intended. Wild
Hunt-affected creatures revert to the shapeshifting chaos of the Dawn Era,
becoming part plant and part animal, as wonderful as they are abominable.
For
the first time since the launch of the Crown Crates we have cycled the seasons.
This means we have retired the Storm Atronach crates with their uniquely themed
items and other collectibles. Starting today, we introduce a spirited new set
and call on you to join the Wild Hunt.

There's
no place like home after an exciting day of adventuring in Tamriel. Starting today, the dream of owning a house in The Elder
Scrolls Online
becomes a reality on Xbox One and PlayStation®4! Player housing, Master
Crafting Writs, Furnishing Crafting, new Crafting Motifs and more await you in
the Homestead update. WELCOME HOME, HERO
We're
thrilled to welcome our players on Xbox One and PlayStation 4 to Homestead! Your journey as a
proud Tamriel homeowner starts today. Watch our Welcome Homestead video to
learn more about what awaits you in ESO's latest game update:
Vvardenfell
is unlike anywhere else in Tamriel.
In our first look at some of the wondrous creatures and dramatic environments
you'll encounter in TheElder
Scrolls Online:
Morrowind, we introduce newcomers
the Vvardvarks and Cliff Striders, and learn about a few of Vvardenfell's more
verdant regions.
Vvardenfell Flora and Fauna
The
Vvardenfell landscape undergoes a constant cycle of death and rebirth. Red
Mountain's lava flows, eruptions and ash-fall cause die-back in the deciduous
woodlands and mushroom jungles, violent upheaval alters the landscape and
buries (or exposes!) the fallen ruins of ancient civilizations. But the island
expands as lava hardens, and new plants and fungi emerge from the cooling ashes
amongst the formations of igneous rock.
Plant
life flourishes in the rich soil fertilized by volcanic activity, and so
Vvardenfell is home to a diverse set of biomes.
Fungi
quickly absorb rich nutrients from the volcanic soil and grow to enormous
proportions to dominate the landscape. The large Ink-Cap Mushrooms along the
Bitter Coast thrive on the detritus of decaying swamp life, while smaller
fungus varieties cover the rocks, trees and even some animals, such as the
fungus-encrusted Shroom Beetle. Adorable!

If
you own a home in Tamriel as an ESO player, you'll need to
furnish your newfound space with furniture. One way to get the furniture you so
desire is to craft it yourself! Read on to learn the basics of Furnishing Crafting, a new system
available in our latest update, Homestead.
What is Furnishing Crafting?
Furnishing
Crafting allows you to craft furniture to place in your home, or to sell to
other players for a profit. Furnishing Crafting is an extension of the six
primary tradeskills: Blacksmithing, Clothier, Woodworking, Enchanting, Alchemy,
and Provisioning. Who can participate in Furnishing
Crafting?
Anyone!
You don't actually need to own a home to craft furnishings and some furnishings
can be made with the most fundamental skills so it's easy to get started. Where do I go to craft some
furnishings?
You
can craft furnishings at any crafting station. When used, you'll find a new tab
for Furnishing plans related to that station's tradeskill. Where do I get Furnishing Crafting
plans?
Much
as with conventional food recipes, furnishing plans can be found stashed in
buildings, backpacks, or within pockets of NPCs throughout the world.
Occasionally, you can even find some in ruins or dungeons. If you're stealing
furnishing plans, though, try not to get caught!

Online
will begin. Return to the iconic island of Vvardenfell
for over 30 hours of adventure in a brand new location, with a new class, a new
PvP mode, a new Trial, and so much
more.
The
fate of Morrowind hangs in the
balance and you must take up the mantle of a hero to help Vivec, the legendary

Morrowind, ESO's new Chapter takes you to familiar locations as you attempt to
solve the mystery of Vivec's mysterious illness and restore his strength.
Travel from the volcanic Ashlands to
the mushroom-filled forests, and walk the streets of Vivec City, still under construction at this point in time.
With
the largest landmass addition to date, a brand-new player class, and an intense
new PvP mode, The Elder Scrolls Online: Morrowind is the perfect entry point
for new players and a great way for veterans to continue their journey.
Those
who already own ESO can simply upgrade their experience and immediately jump
into the new Chapter when it launches on June 6, 2017 for all platforms,
including on PC in Japan. And thanks to the One Tamriel update from last
October, new players can also sail directly into Morrowind and play with other
adventurers of all levels. The Elder Scrolls Online: Morrowind also includes
all the original ESO content, so new players will have access to hundreds of

After
reviewing over 5,700 entries for our Nameless
Mage contest (and yes, we read every one of them!), we're happy to announce
that we've chosen our winner.
Arriving
at our decision was not an easy one, though. We enlisted the help of members of
The
Elder Scrolls Online Dev Team, and it was challenging to choose just one
winner out of so many inspiring entries.
The
winning entry had not only a creative and unique name for our Dark Elf mage, but was also coupled
with an interesting backstory that our Content Designers will be able to
seamlessly integrate into The Elder Scrolls Online. The character that our
winner imagined has a unique point-of-view, along with knowledge of Oblivion
itself. He will no doubt be a valuable ally to you when you step foot into
Molag Bal's realm, Coldharbour.
Without
further ado, we would like to introduce you to our Dark Elf mage, Malkur Valos.

Move-in
day is coming! We're excited to announce that Homestead, our next update
featuring player housing, will launch on PC/Mac on Monday, February 6, and for
PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on Tuesday, February 21.
This
free update introduces 39 uniquely-themed homes you can acquire throughout Tamriel, and includes over
2,000 individual decorative and furniture options plus Furnishing Crafting. In addition, the update also includes Master Crafting Writs, four new Motifs, an update to PvP itemization,
and an overall balance pass across all classes and skills.
Housing is an often-requested feature in
just about every MMORPG that launces
without it. The Elder Scrolls Online is no different. Since
the game launched, housing has been one of Zenimax’s
most-requested additions.
Homestead,
included free with ESO's next major game update, introduces the
long-anticipated player housing system. It also includes furniture crafting and
robust home decoration options. With nearly 40 unique homes to choose from and
over 2,000 individual decorative and furniture options to make each home truly
unique, Homestead will allow you to make Tamriel your own like never before.

Writs
are special crafting assignments in The Elder Scrolls
Online.
These quests are repeatable and can be completed once every 20 hours.
Completing Writs will grant you experience, crafting inspiration, and provide
you with a treasure chest that you can open to receive random rewards,
including crafting materials and maps to special harvesting zones that have
double the materials and feature legendary drops.
Completing
crafting writ quests in the ESO will sometimes yield a crafting survey as one
of the quest rewards. These surveys are similar to treasure maps, in that they
depict an obscure location that is somewhere in the zone the crafting writ quest
is completed in.
Certification
Crafting
Writ CertificationBefore you can take crafting writs, your character will need
to be certified in a particular crafting skill. Fortunately this is way easier
than you might think: simply walk to the nearest Writ Board in a city of your
choice, and then visit a certification trainer NPC in Davon’s Watch, Vulkhel
Guard, or Daggerfall.
These
certification trainers will give you a quest explaining the basics of crafting.
There are two separate certification trainers: one for equipment crafting
professions which are Woodworking, Blacksmithing and Clothing, and the other
for consumable crafting which are Alchemy, Provisioning, and Enchanting.
You
can only have ONE certification quest from EACH of these trainers at any given
time but you only need to complete the certification process once, so you will
quickly go through all 6 of these quests. Do note that your character must be
at least level 6 before you can take on certification.
In
case you have Rank 10 in a particular profession already, you can completely
skip the certification process by selecting the right dialogue options when
talking to trainers. If you’re already experienced with crafting or if you read
our crafting basics guide, you’re likely safe to skip certification altogether
as it won’t teach you anything new.

The
Justice System was added to ESO with Update 6 (1.6) in
March 2015. The Justice System allows players to pickpocket NPCs, steal items in cities, kill many
NPCs and become a fugitive from the guards. Taking part in this illegal
activity will increase your Bounty
which you’ll either need to pay in gold to a guard or spend time away from the
cities waiting for it to go down.
Justice System
This
system allows your character to participate in different types of criminal
activity. You can steal goods and murder NPCs, but think twice before doing it.
Now all criminal actions lead to punishment if you are caught. Special guards
are on the lookout for criminals and you will have to be sneaky in order to
avoid possible danger.
This
new system also adds one more opportunity – you can become a “sheriff” called
Enforcer, who patrols the city looking out for outlaws. The mechanics of this
position is described in the end of the article.
The
Justice System also brings with it a new skill line. It can be found in the
“World” category and is levelled up when you commit crimes. All the abilities
there have one clear goal: to increase your criminal power. These skills are a
“must have”, if you wish to pursue the life of a criminal.

The
problem of inventory size is one of the most important because there are a lot
of different items in Elder Scrolls Online that can be gathered.
When you start traveling you find more and more items, resources, runes,
reagents and so on. Each player can gather any type of resources and this is
where the inventory size becomes very important.
Each
character receives 50 inventory
slots in the beginning. After you leave the starting zone your inventory will
be full and I am pretty sure that you will be looking for a way to increase it.
Though each player has access to personal store and guild bank, inventory space is still not enough.
Decide on a main character
This
is extremely important, because in the Elder Scrolls Online bag space is
directly linked to each character. Not only that, but bag upgrades can get
expensive quickly so you don’t want to spend money on upgrading characters that
you won’t play in the end. Choose a character and try to focus all of your
resources into upgrading his or her bag space. It takes a while, and costs a
lot of money to go from 60 bag slots to 240, the maximum number.

Enchanting provides Glyphs in Elder
Scrolls Online.
Glyphs are enchantments which are
applied on gear. There’s three types of glyphs: armor glyphs, weapon glyphs,
and jewelry glyphs. Glyphs are crafted at enchanting station, typically found
in towns. The combination of runes
used to craft the glyph affects the quality and effects of the final glyph,
much like the combination of reagents does in Alchemy.
Unlike
provisioning and alchemy, enchanting grants you permanent bonuses on your
armor, jewelry and weapons. You do have to charge your weapons with soul gems
as the effect depletes in combat. Enchanting can give you a boost in most of
your stats with some exceptions like crit percentage or crit damage. However,
it’s not just adding bonuses. There’s also some special effects like granting a
damage shield, dealing unresistable
damage, reduction costs, potion boost and more.
Leveling Enchanting
Leveling
up Enchanting is an arduous process. It has been made easier with incremental
patches, but it is still the slowest ranking of the professions.
Deconstruction
always grants more inspiration than creation and yields materials. Items made
by another player gives the most inspiration, enhanced with higher level and
better item quality.
1. Find a crafting
partner who is near your crafting level.
2. Each partner creates
glyphs for the maximum level as possible in the following progression: 4, 16,
26, 36, 46, Champion: 10, 40, 80, 100
3. Trade the items to
each other.
4. Deconstruct the
glyphs made by the other person.

Dragonknight is a Class in Elder
Scrolls Online.
These skillful masters-at-arms use the ancient Akaviri martial arts tradition
of battle-spirit, and wield fearsome magic that pounds, shatters and physically
alters the world around them. Dragon
Knights can specialize on three distinctive class skills. The player is
free to focus on one line or distribute points across many, allowing for deep
build customization.
In
this ESO Dragonknight guide, I will
be discussing the strengths and weaknesses of the specific talents available to
the Dragonknight. The Dragonknight is the most tanking-oriented class in Elder
Scrolls Online. Its Draconic Power
and Earthen Heart skill lines have a
lot of great damage mitigation abilities, while the Ardent Flame skills are useful for dealing damage as well as PvP (Fiery Grip is one of the best and
most annoying PvP skills around).
Roles
Dragonknight
is chosen by players for a variety of roles. Most players build a melee DPS or
heavy tank using the Dragonknight, although Dragonknights can also be very
effective as ranged damage dealers and support/healing roles! The Dragonknight
is loaded with tanking skills which allows for a huge variety of strong builds.
Creating the ultimate Dragonknight build isn’t easy and is very time consuming,
even if you’re familiar with the class skills.
As
you may or may not already know, picking a class gives you access to just three
unique skill trees out of the dozens from which you can pull your six active
skills. Each class skill tree has 5 abilities and 4 passives; you can only
equip 5 abilities and 1 ultimate as an active skill at one time.

In
the Elder
Scrolls Online,
there are 10 total playable races. Note that the Imperial race is only available as a special bonus for those who
pre-order the Imperial version of the game. The Imperial race can choose any of
the three existing allegiances and
will start in the same starting areas as other players of those factions. Races are generally bound to their
respective faction. However, those
who pre-ordered the digital edition or the digital imperial edition of the game
are able to choose any faction with any race that they prefer. Those picking up
the game through other sources do not get to pick their faction and instead
must stick to the default allegiance
for their race.
The
races belonging to each of the game’s three alliances are: •Aldmeri
Dominion: Altmer, Bosmer and Khajiit. •Daggerfall
Covenant: Breton, Orsimer and Redguard. •Ebonheart
Pact: Argonian, Dunmer and Nord.
Every
race has 4 passive abilities which give them unique flavor and abilities. Some
of these passives are shared between races. The first passive bonus for each
race is automatically available at level one without requiring a skill point to
be spent. It grants a 15% experience bonus when training a specific weapon or
armor skill line. The specific skill line each race earns a bonus towards is
in-line with the lore, background, and cultural preferences of each race. The
subsequent three passives in each racial tree each have three ranks, which
increase in power as you invest additional skill points into them. Not all
racial passives can be unlocked right away. Altmer (High Elf)
Altmer
are a race of High Elves. They look similar to humans but with slightly Elven
features. Their abilities focus on magicka and bonuses related to the
Destruction staff, making them natural caste. •Destruction
Talent-Increases experience gain with the Destruction Staff Skill Line by 15%. •Spellcharge-Increases
Magicka Recovery while in combat by 3/6/9%. •Gift
of Magnus-Increases Maximum Magicka by 4/7/10%. •Elemental
Talent-Increases damage with Cold, Fire or Shock effects by 2/3/4%.

In
Elder
Scrolls Online,
gaining skill points is one of the primary ways for making your character stronger. Skill points are a limited resource in
Elder Scrolls Online. You’ll naturally cumulate skill points as you advance in
game, but you can also go out of your way to specifically hunt for skill
points. Each active ability requires 2 skill points to fully unlock (one skill
point to unlock and one to morph), while passive skills may require anywhere
from 1-3 skill points to fully unlock. Given that players can access abilities
from three skill trees for their class, six skill trees for weapons, and many
other extraneous skill trees for abilities and passives, players can easily go
through a hundred skill points and still want more. Skill points are needed for
just about everything in ESO. You use skill points to unlock passive crafting
skills, passive and active combat skills and their morphs. That’s why grabbing
all the skill points you can possibly get will be very important for character
progression.
How many skill points in ESO?
There
are 366 skill points to be acquired to date. The most obvious of course,
Skyshards and the main storyline. Something that many of us forget are the
subtle ways to gain skill points, such as the faction storyline quests. There
are 3 skill points to be gained in each zone from these quests, and they are
not to be forgotten while advancing your character.
The
number of skill points is only going to get bigger and bigger in ESO with new
content updates and zones. At the same time you’ll gain access to a greater
variety of skills, so it all balances out in the end.
Woodworking is one of the three professions in the Elder Scrolls Online which create equipped items. Woodworking lets you craft the various
wooden weapons and shields in ESO.
You can turn wood you collect in the world into fine pieces with various stats
and styles as well. Some of the best wooden weapons and shields in the game can
be crafted by Woodworking and they have the ability to fine tune their pieces.
Wooden weapons and shields types can be used in many build types including
non-caster/tank builds.
Woodworking can also improve on crafted or
already existing gear you’ve found in the world. Using improvement materials
found by refining wood, deconstructing armor, and given to you by hirelings, Woodworkers can improve wooden weapons
and shields all the way to legendary.
Refinement
Refinement is needed to turn wood into sanded
wood, something you can craft with. Refinement has its own tab in the crafting
window. Once you have 10 units of rough materials, you can refine them.
Whilst you don’t receive any woodworking
inspiration points for refining materials, you do have a chance to gain Resins
and Trait Materials every time you refine wood. Refining is a great way to
receive Resins. They are rare items needed in order to improve crafted
Woodworking items. Basics
Woodworking is used to create staff weapons,
shields and bows. Particularly useful for archers, ranged casters, healers and
even tanks, woodworking can be beneficial at all stages of the game. Materials
used are of course various types of wood, and to start your woodworking
adventures you don’t need to invest any skill points. Crafting items past level
14 though will require you to start spending skill points in the passive skill
line, which has further benefits as well.
Woodworkers can also add and research traits,
and improve and deconstruct items. Various aspects of this profession are further
explained below.
