Deep Sea Fishing
Whoever first said there were ‘plenty more fish in the sea’ was onto something. Grab your waterproofs and gumboots, because this month we’re introducing our Deep Sea Fishing update.
A quick chat with Goomah at the fishing guild (north of Ardougne) will direct you to the new fishing hub: a floating, offshore walkway where you can train and chat with other players at every level. From pelicans to sea monsters, this hotspot’s teeming with random encounters that you can choose to engage with for extra rewards, big and small. Stalker Creatures
Familiar with Seekers and Soulgazers? At levels 71 and 99 respectively, this pair of deadly peepers was previously only accessible through Dungeoneering. But then we said: no more! From today, you can get an eyeful of both as part of the ‘Stalker Creatures’ Slayer task from Kuradal or Morvran. They’re located in the dungeon beneath Daemonheim using Moia’s Communication Device, which means you’ll need to have completed Dishonour Among Thieves. Lost the device? Easy, just claim it back from Moldark, the emissary in Edgeville. What’s more, both creatures can now be captured for the player owned Slayer dungeon and added to the codex.

Revolution of Runescape is now more laid-back than ever: with enough adrenaline, you can now automatically trigger thresholds and ultimates; and, with a resizeable window, you can now tailor exactly how many of your abilities should be automatic. Furthermore, to ensure that a balance is struck when fighting monsters in different modes, we’ve increased the average floor damage given by both Legacy combat and special attacks: Legacy PvM combat has had it's minimum hit upped to 33% of damage potential. Up from the previous 0%. The special attacks in Legacy and EoC have been buffed to shift 20% of random damage onto the existing damage floor.

Make way, make way! Invention batch 2 has arrived, and with it, some eagerly awaited additions and tweaks to our youngest skill.
Let's start with the big'un: machines. Brand new to Invention, these can be used to automate a selection of tasks slowly over time, even while you're offline. All you need to do is keep your generator topped up with divine charge. Talk about AFK.
You can have up to six of these – including duplicates – and each has two tiers. Plus, you'll get your own workshop to tinker away in, which can be found in the new room at the back of the Invention Guild. Here's what's on the menu: •The Alchemiser, which bestows your items with the gift of high alchemy, turning them to gold. •The Auto Disassembler, which breaks down your items into useful parts and components. •The Plank Maker, which turns your common or garden logs into beautiful planks. •The Partial Potion Producer, which whizzes up your herbs and pops them into vials. It won't make a complete potion, but it's a welcome time saver. •The Automatic Hide Tanner, which...yeah, you guessed it. It tans your hides to make leather.

If you're a seasoned boss battler, there's a new way to be rewarded for your dedication to pummelling Gielinor's biggest nasties: Collections.
Head to the Beasts tab, pick a boss, then click the new 'Collection' button beneath their picture. There, you'll see a list of drops that you'll need to obtain from the boss in question to earn an all-new title. Note that some items will already be ticked off, if you've obtained them.

We’ve heard your feedback and the anima rates from Shattered Worlds have been increased significantly. Worlds 71 and above now reward 29m-37m+ of anima per hour, depending on your own personal combat capacities and the other random factors in Shattered Worlds.
The amount awarded for completing the challenges has also increased:
•Bronze - 250,000
•Silver - 1,000,000
•Gold - 7,500,000

This week brings an array of skillchompa-related updates – not least of all the introduction of crystal skillchompas, as discussed by Mod Timbo in last week’s Month Ahead live stream.

The new tier of skillchompas can be found at the far side of the Isafdar Forest, on the coast just north of Tyras Camp (which is looking a touch lighter on trees than normal. Thanks Timbo).
Catch them from level 97 Hunter and use them from 61 Divination, Fishing, Mining or Woodcutting to enjoy better-than-ever benefits in the relevant skill. Skillchompa Updates
We’ve also made a bunch of improvements to the way that skillchompas work overall, making them all the more useful for your skill training:
•There is now a chance to catch multiple skillchompas at any Agility level, granting you XP for each skillchompa caught.
•Upon attaining certain Agility thresholds, the chance to catch multiple skillchompas reaches 100%.
•Skillchompas now work from your inventory, as well as while wielded.
•Box traps can now be placed during combat.
•You will now receive Invention tool XP on failing a skilling action when using skillchompas.
