When you get the level cap of 20 in
Destiny 2, knowing where to go and what to do first can be pretty confusing. If
you accidentally run an activity in the wrong order, you can unintentionally
hinder your progress for the week.
If you’re trying to gear up your first
character or one of two alternative characters, this guide (Mmogah finds it from Polygon.com)
will help you level and gear up as fast as possible and blast your way through
the grind. But if you have no time or are not good at leveling by yourselves,

Leveling
up in Destiny 2 can be confusing. The things you need to do are relative
because they depend on your current level. This guide acknowledges that, and
its sections will help guide you within the game. Whether you’re just beginning
or grinding your way to Power level 265 and beyond, the answers are listed in
the following parts.
Leveling
up to 20
It’s a long road from level one to 20,
missions and adventures included. Luckily, if you’re leveling an alt character,
you can skip the cutscenes in the Red War campaign (assuming you don’t want to
see them again) and save time.
Running
is more efficient than finishing a mission correctly
While there are plenty of times in the
campaign where you have to stop and complete the objective, and it will
actually take you 5 to 10 minutes to run right through most missions. Running
past the enemies instead of just defeating them will leave you at a level
disadvantage in the campaign, but it saves so much time that it is more
efficient than finishing the mission correctly.
Many missions have level gates to them,
requiring you be a specific level before you even start. Because you lose
experience points running through missions, you’ll need to complete some of the
on-planet activities to reach the next phase of the Red War campaign. To deal
with this minor problem, run Public Events, Adventures, Lost Sectors and Quests
to level up. Just make sure that your Power level is not too far under the
mission’s recommendation.
Once you finish the campaign and return to
the social space, follow the quest line and talk to Zavala. Accept his gift,
and he will automatically raise you to the level cap. Congratulations! You just
brought your first (second or even third) character to level 20.
Beyond
level 20: getting geared
When you finish the campaign for the first
time, you will be at about Power level 150. If you aren’t there quite yet,
don’t worry: You will get there naturally by running Strikes or Public Events
(or better, Heroic Public Events, which you can learn how to trigger in our
Heroic Public Events guide).
Using this conservation method, you’ll be
able to get to 280 within a week. The down side is that getting to 240 (and
subsequently 265) is a real pain. You will need to do a lot of grinding to get
there.
Getting your Power level up from here can
be tricky, especially if you aren’t absolutely sure of how the gearing system
works. The journey is long, so the first thing you want to know what not to do.
What not
to do
Before
you reach power level 240:
Don’t turn in planetary tokens to your
planetary vendor. (You should have a couple of these after completing the
campaign.)
Don’t slot your Legendary (purple) mods
into blue gear.
Before
you reach power level 265:
Don’t turn in Milestones that give you
Powerful Gear. (You can temporarily turn down the Luminous Engram when the NPC
offers it to you.)
Don’t start the “Blue Crown” planetary
Quests that show up on Earth, Titan, Io and Nessus.
Don’t loot Cayde-6 treasure chests.
Getting
to power level 265
Playing Destiny 2 will get you Rare (blue)
gear, which scales all the way up to 265. Complete Public Events, Strikes and
Crucible matches to get easy loot. Basically, do whatever you like best, and
you will make progress.
If
you still have the Fireteam Medallion you get from Hawthorne, the Clan Steward
at the Tower and know that you have a couple of hours in one sitting to run
these activities, use it to make the process faster.
Lost
Sectors are great ways to get Rare (blue) gear very quickly, so farming them is
a great option. However, it seems that there is some kind of timed cap on them.
If you do too many in a row, the game will stop giving you loot. So do about
three Lost Sectors and then run a different activity. Once you are done, run
three more Lost Sectors.
The
weird space between 150 and 265 is also the best time to complete your initial
Milestones. If you don’t see any of your Milestones offering Powerful Gear, it
means you haven’t unlocked it yet. Complete all of your Milestones that offer
Rare (blue) or Legendary (purple) gear. These are simple activities like
complete two Strikes for Zavala or a few patrols for Cayde-6.
Completing
the lower Milestones will unlock the higher tier reward. For instance,
finishing the two Strikes for Zavala will give you access to the Nightfall,
while completing patrols for Cayde-6 unlocks the week’s Flashpoint. Getting
these pesky missions out of the way when you are lower level means that you
will be killing two birds with one stone. Once you are at the level you want to
be (265+), you will immediately have access to the Nightfall and other
activities.
After
completing your lower Milestones and grinding up to 240, begin turning in your
Reputation Tokens to planetary vendors. Through grinding, you should have
plenty of these. Jump from place to place and collect your loot. Once you have
turned it all in, you will be somewhere between 240 and 265.
If
you have Legendary (purple) mods, start slotting them into the Legendary
(purple) weapons and armor that you like. (You cannot remove them, and they are
hard to come by until you hit 280, so be sure that you don’t mind the look and
feel of your armor or weapon.) From now on, if an armor piece drops for the
same slot as a piece of Legendary (purple) armor (that you’ve already modded),
infuse the Rare (blue) into the Legendary (purple) rather than just replacing
it. The same principle applies to weapons.
If you have completed all of your item
management and find that you are still not 265, keep on grinding. This time,
make sure you stick to just one activity, so that you can maximize the tokens
you are getting. If you like farming Public Events, stay on the same planet
instead of hopping around. After some luck and more grinding, you will make it
up to 265 Power.
Beyond
power level 265
Getting to 265 is by far the worst chore
in Destiny 2, so once you get there, give yourself a pat on the back. Now for
the easy part.
Now that all of your loot should be
Legendary (purple), make sure that everything has a Legendary (purple) mod in
it. If you have used all the ones you can, you can go hunting for Cayde-6
chests. If you go to Cayde-6 on the Tower and buy his maps, spade icons will
appear on a planet. Find and open the chests, and you could get some Legendary
(purple) gear or even some Exotics (yellow).
After you’ve found all of the chests, you
can start knocking out the Powerful Gear Milestones. Run the Nightfall, grind
the Crucible and complete Heroic Public Events on the designated planet.
If you are in a Clan (and you really should
be - it offers you a ton of free loot every week), you will also be able to
contribute Clan XP weekly. Once you have contributed 5,000 points, you will get
even more Powerful Gear from Hawthorne, the Clan Steward at the Tower.
Once all your Milestones are gone, you can
no longer boost your Power level that week - aside from Trials of the Nine, the
Leviathan Raid and Exotic (yellow) engrams. Wait for the weekly reset (every
Tuesday) and do it all again. If you are completing every single activity every
week, you should be all the way at 300 by the end of week two.
It’s also worth noting that if you are
under 265 and you know that you will not be able to get to that point before
the weekly reset, make sure you complete your Powerful Gear Milestones. While
the gear that drops from these activities will be less powerful than if you
were 265, it’s better to get worse gear than let it go to waste.
Gearing
other characters
Getting your alt up to a respectable Power
level is entirely dependent on your main’s weapons. Jump on your main and store
your highest-Power kinetic, energy and power weapon in the vault. Next, log
onto your alt and equip the weapons. (Note that this entire process is far
easier to do if you have the Destiny App on Android and iOS or the Destiny Item
Manager browser plug-in for Google Chrome.)
You will notice that you Power level will
be boosted pretty significantly. While your armor is all trash, your weapons
will increase your overall Power level, which in turn increases your drops. Because
of the weapon Power average bonuses, you will start replacing your gear with
upgrades that are 50+ Power better than your current item in that slot. Replace
your gear if it is Rare (blue) or infuse into it if it is Legendary (purple).
If you are making an alt, you almost certainly have the Legendary Shards to
spare.
Start unlocking things in your milestones:
Strikes for Zavala, Crucible matches for Shaxx, challenges for Ikora, patrols
for Cayde-6. This will get you some easy Rare (blue) and Legendary (purple)
gear, which will save you a bunch of time.
Assuming your main character is at least
280, you will be able to buy Legendary (purple) mods from the Gunsmith, which
you can immediately slot into your alt’s purple armor. Once your alt has
reached the 265 range (which should be around the time when all of your
Milestones become Powerful Gear), complete those milestones to boost your level
even farther.
And that’s all you can do.
Congratulations, you just caught up an entire character in about seven hours.
Using the methods listed above, we were able to gear three characters on the
same account to 300+ Power. Good luck, Guardians.
Perhaps progression is the main reason why people
play in action role-playing games. However, you can find more than one form of
progression, with the leveling up
of the character being the well-known one in Path of Exile. The other one can move on to a new location of
difficulty with a higher level. This is true about any ARPG, but most of them
follow in a linear manner, which makes the danger ahead seem easy to prepare.
As the increase of difficulty is
more than just linear, this may not be so when transitioning from Act 3 to Act 4. If you think Act 3
is quite challenging, then Act 4 will make you scratch your head as it is even harder
by leaps and bounds. It has lots of boss fights and tougher enemies to go with
it, so you had better prepare. In order to do so, you are going to need tobuy
PoE Items, with no compromises
at all in quality absolutely.
What you need in Act 4 is a whole of survivability, as
with most late game scenarios. It goes without saying that the amount of life
and armor or evasion you need for this part is more than you can expect. But
the most important is to make all of your resistances capped as you have to
survive the onslaught
of elemental damage that will come in this act. Survivability is the priority
in this case, but that doesn’t mean leaving the offense to languish. It is only
because you shouldn’t have to worry much about that aspect.
If you go through your character
build at that stage, then you should have your primary strategies and offense,
and it includes your damage and other ways to mitigate hordes of enemies. You
should make your active and passive skills in order, so you should have to
worry about is piling on the defense by acquiring the best gear you ever need
at that point.
In many cases, this is where trading comes in handy.

like having to deal with social contacts to having to deal with dishonest
players every now and then, it seems like trading is not a big deal. But when
you get to the late game in Path of Exile, you need every bit of help you can

make sure that the passive skill tree and the active skills are in synergy.
The
good thing is that 90% is the target benchmark when it comes to melee accuracy.
That's fairly simple, and it doesn't take too much as lots of it comes from your
dexterity and Path
of Exile Items.
Whatever left can be put into boosting survivability and damage. It seems like
a drag for players, but that's normal for the course in the business of optimizing
character builds and min-maxing in action role-playing game, Path of Exile
tries to be the ultimate ARPG experience.

melee accuracy, lots of extra percentages can be obtained from gems like
Additional Accuracy Quality, which are crucial especially when you're looking

Speed and Auras which are tradable for 1 Chaos Orb each easily. All players

never decrease. Compared to a Chaos Orb, all other Gems are used for Fusing and
Alchemy Orbs which are of lesser value, so it will be in your best interest to
allocate time and space for Gems that commands a significant value for Chaos
Orbs.
In the real world, remember that value for the Gems
may dip or rise anytime as mentioned above. It is suggested to check the
Standard League Trading Values on a regular basis so that you may capitalize on
value jumps whenever possible and shake off Gems about to dip in value. For

Trap
system of Path of Exile is different from other MMORPG games in general. They

It's nearly Christmas - which means this is the last update of the year. Find out all about it here.
Mod Osborne mentioned on the news post for this week’s update that many of the Jagex staff have gone off for their Holiday, so they are not in the office, which means this is the last update for this year, so we are not going to be getting any update until the 8th of January.
But don’t worry, there’s plenty coming out in the new year, and Jagex are showcasing some of it in the year ahead video which is on the 5th of January. They are going to be covering like RuneScape Mobile, Mining and Smithing, Bank Rework and a few surprises.
There are a couple of things you can still partake in for the rest of the year. Winter Weekends are events that you can do even in January. There's also Mod PurPur's Advent-ure Calendar, and the community run 12 days of PvM is still ongoing, so if you want to enjoy the community and kill the bosses, don’t forget to do that. And there is a Winter Sweepstakes going on that you can win a Razer Blade Pro laptop.

Some action
role-playing games are built upon certain systems, they dictate the rules and
how to kill something else. Path of
Exile is no exception, and it has lots of characteristics with newer ARPGs
which have come out recently. It is simplified in some respects and more
complicated in others aspects, which is the characteristic of the game.
As
always, there are two different types of damage in Path of Exile, which is called
spell damage and attacking
type.
Each has its own characteristic that makes it unique and applicable to combat
situations. If a player learns the intricacies of these two different damage
types and how to make use of their strengths, they will stimulate their
characters' potential.
Attacking
type is divided into two subtypes, which are elemental damage and physical
damage. For melee and bow-using characters, these are what they should pay
attention to. As the character gets stronger and Path
of Exile Items become available
(such as valuable PoE
Exalted Orb), that's because
elemental damage comes into supplement physical damage and strengthens the
character's offensive capabilities.
When it comes to
attacking damage, except the base, the most important factors damage are the
accuracy and critical strike as they mean the difference between effective and
ineffective offense, especially for certain enemy with strong defenses. After
all, there's no use to damage either hit hard enough or hit at all.
The
advantages of elemental damage are the possibility of exchange from one skill
to another to switch up elements to target different enemy types' weaknesses. Using
a weapon with high attacking speed and using different elemental damage auras
can accomplish this, as well as using elemental damage skills like Spectral
Throw. They can impart additional effects on enemies that are very helpful in
combat, shock, burning, or freezing.
Spell

Same as other online multiplayer MMORPG, Path of Exile has built up the closed
relationship with hardcore players, which means that it has collected a whole
dictionary's worth of acronyms and jargons
that you should learn if you want to know this game deeply and its intricacies.
However, it's not necessary to memorize them immediately and you can learn them
in the game, but it's a good idea to get familiar in advance to avoid confusion
during gameplay.
Start from something simple, such
as the usual terms that are present in other games too. IGN is an in-game name,
and PoE is the name of the game Path
of Exile. Also, there are some other terms like B/O for Buy Out and C/O for
Current Offer that are important for trading, which is a big part of this game
due to the special economic system with PoE
Currency items.
You should remember that STR, DEX, and INT are the
character stats, and each character class has its own attention to one or two
of the stats. There are some advanced stats like MS for Movement Speed, EV for
Evasion, and AR for Armour. You’ll meet many of these acronyms if you're
looking for character builds
and other information in the forums, so you can make it as a priority to learn.
Some are well-known Path of Exile Items
like GCP for Gem Cutter's Prism. Most of the acronyms aren't important to
remember because most people will use the full names.
When talking about PoE Items, there are two of the most
important acronyms in this game, namely IIQ and IIR. When you are looking for poe items that will make your character
much better. IIQ increases Item Quantity and IIR increases Item Rarity, both of
them are important properties when it comes to farm. When IIQ and IIR are combined,
you can get Magic Find, which is the increased possibility of getting good loot,
such as PoE Exalted Orb.
There are a lot of other item properties with
acronyms and terminology that you are interested in. For example, there are
various "cast on" effects such as CoD for Cast on Death, CoC for Cast
on Critical Strike, CWDT for Cast, CoH for Curse on Hit when Damage Taken, etc.
They can be very confusing, but you will be better when you have to sift
through those terms to optimize your character leading to the end.
Gems
and passive skills that are used commonly, IR for Iron Reflexes, which can be
confused with IIR, but keystone passive is one of the most commonly used ones.
There are tons of support gems like FC for Faster Casting, FA for Faster
Attacks, MP for Greater Multiple Projectiles, etc. Active skills like LA for
Lightning Arrow, RoA for Rain of Arrows, RF for Righteous Fire, they are also some
