Cloud Strife Outfit in FFXIV Planned For 720 Days Veteran Reward

For Final Fantasy Fans, if they are required to elect a male character as their favorite, Cloud Strife must be in the list. Cloud may be the most known and popular male character to young FF fans. Now there is wonderful news that Cloud Strife outfit is planned for 720 days vet reward. This latest veteran reward hasn’t officially been implemented yet, but was announced during the latest Letter from the Producer Live.

Veteran Rewards are in-game item bonuses that are awarded to players periodically based on how long they have had an active subscription. The rewards are based on accumulative subscription, so it doesn’t matter if you take a break from the game for a while as it rewards you based on your overall subscription time. The rewards are distributed via the moogle delivery service in-game as soon as you qualify for each new rank of reward and apply to all current and future characters you own.

This is not the first FF character costume to cameo in FFXIV, we have already seen the outfit of Lighting and Snow, Setzer outfit has been revealed as a Gold Saucer reward in the next part of FFXIV patch 2.5 “Before The Fall”.

How Will Trion Serious Ban Wave Affect ArcheAge In-game Economy

As the agency of ArcheAge for NA/EU servers, Trion is strict with accounts’ legality. The hackers, gold farming bots, mules and storage accounts are regarded as illicit cases,which will cause immediate accounts ban when confirmed. Trion does have the ability to trace the source of the illicit gold. Believe that the large scale of gold farmers’ and gold sellers’ accounts getting banned has proven what I say. Even the normal players that the gold passed on have seen their gold disappeared.

Trion has been fighting against with third-party archeage gold selling sites ever since the game launched and in the battle between Trion and gold sellers, many normal players have been implicated.

In general, Trion uses two methods to resist gold selling workshops and sites, one is marketplace selling gold and the other is large scale account ban.

Trion sells APEX in its marketplace, which grants 1250 Credits when opened and players can sell APEX off the Auction House for archeage gold. It means that APEX is the in-game item that allows real money and virtual currency exchange for each other. This equals to the same mechanism of gold selling site, after all what gold sellers do are all about RMT related to games. If the gold price of Marketplace is not far off that of gold selling site, players would choose to buy from marketplace, apparently it’s more secure. However, RMT is popular in archeagebecause you have to pay for tax when trading off Auction House.

October 22, 2014, Trion banned lots of accounts and a large amount ofarcheage gold was removed, in late January of 2015, a large scale of account ban wave happened again. With so many storage accounts getting banned, gold sellers have faced huge losses.

For MMORPGs, account ban and gold being removed are just so common, especially before and after the updates. If the RMT really disappear, what would happen to in-game economy? There would be too less gold in game to trade among players, they would sell items to exchange for gold, if the server they play on is hot and with lots of players, selling items may be easier, but if their server is not hot enough, how would they sell out their items?

Even though RMT is against Trion, it does stimulate the game economy. If it is too serious for Trion to guarantee normal playing experience for players, then it’s a tragedy for ArcheAge. I think if Trion could appropriately get a balance through the situation, it will turn out better.

How Is ArcheAge Going to Be in 2015

In the beginning of 2015, archeage updated to version 1.2 build 4.18. A series of events is going on in game through the end of February. Merv Lee Kwai, a producer of this game, revealed some info about archeage developing trends in this year 2015.

1. Players can get more game info from Trion official social platform, such as Facebook, Twitter, Forum and Live Stream. GM will discuss game play issues with players and provide more details of the game update than before.

2. Trion is committed to creating a better siege mechanism which will bring in a greater sense of risk and a more balanced competition between the attacker guild and the defender guild.

3. Serpentis and The Sea of Drowned Love have received a frequent amount of traffic since their release as players compete for their spoils. I still remember that our archeage gold orders increased a lot when the Sea of Drowned Love dungeon launched, also at that time I wrote an article “The Sea of Drowned Love Weekend Dungeon Is a Success in ArcheAge”. In order to encourage continued exploration of these dungeons, more portals and more entrance quests are available, you can also get entrance tokens every day for each dungeon.

4. Everyone knows that market values of popular items rise and fall based on traditional supply and demand, in order to avoid imbalance of items, GM will begin to introduce alternative item drop methods to the game.

5. GM is shifting priorities to deliver game mechanics that some of the veteran players will recognize like the PvP Arena and Fishing Tournaments.

6. There are some fundamental changes like adding a global trade channel to remove spams from faction chat, the ability to ignore or refuse mail from blocked senders. Recently, we have seen a large scale of farmers’ accounts ban before and after the update, as a website that sells archeage gold, we have seen Trion efforts on improving game fairness.

A New Mount in FFXIV Patch 2.5---Kirin

With new FFXIV Patch 2.5 “Before The Fall” released, more new items are added. Now I will introduce a new mount, Kirin.Firstly, let’s have a look at the legendaryKirin.

“How cool it is!” Most of the players may have this shout. Yes, it may be the most different mount in ffxiv that is full of mysterious Chinese style. Kirin is a pronunciation of Japanese “きりん”, in Chinese it is called “麒麟(Qi Lin)”.Kirin is a good omen thought to occasion prosperity or serenity. It is often depicted with what looks like fire all over its body. It is sometimes called the "Chinese unicorn" when compared with the Western unicorn.

How to obtain Kirin? Players can receive it from the “Kirin Fife” item, which is rewarded from the “A Legend for a Legend” quest after getting all of the Primal Mounts which include the Aithon, Xanthos, Gullfaxi, Enbarr, Markab, and Boreas mounts. After you get all the Primal Mounts, the detailed location of the quest “A Legend for a Legend” is Mor Dhona (X:21 Y:8), from the NPC Wandering Minstrel.
